International Women’s Day - A creative day of play!

With International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March a group of female business owners decided to get together and have a creative play date, using Mimosa, the flower that is often used to represent the day as the starting point. Mimosa is a bright yellow flower that comes into season and flower around the same time as IWD and symbolises strength, sensibility and sensitivity.

We created a gorgeous spring tablescape that would befit an International Women’s Day celebration all whilst chatting, getting creative and celebrating ourselves as strong women!

I hope you enjoy looking at these gorgeous images captured by Katrina Bartlam at the beautiful Court House Farm in Portishead (an incredible Tudor House that hosts intimate weekend weddings). Kirsten from Wedding Helper UK styled the table, Gemma provided the beautiful stationery and ribbon and Emma from Bake My Cake made a gorgeous cake decorated with fresh mimosa!
